Simple Stencil lettering is self-adhesive and will remain stuck to any smooth or semi-smooth surface for many years. This includes painted walls, glass, mirrors, smooth plastic, metal, tile, and smooth wood.

Simple Stencils will not stick well to materials such as untreated rough wood, cinderblock, brick or paper. (Cinderblock works well if the blocks have enough layers of paint which creates a smoothness. This is often the case in schools, hospitals, etc.)

Light to medium textured walls work great for Simple Stencils and the texture will show through the lettering so it still appears as if it is painted on. Highly textured walls however do not work well with Simple Stencils. If you are in doubt about your surface, please request a free sample to test prior to placing an order.
